Crossing to the east coast
Kuantan is around 430 kilometres from Singapore and takes five to six hours, running up through Johor and Pahang to the South China Sea coast. It is a different journey from the west-coast expressway runs — quieter roads for much of it, and a genuine sense of crossing the peninsula rather than driving up one side of it. As the capital of Pahang, Kuantan serves as the arrival point for a lot of east-coast travel, and we take you door to door from your Singapore address rather than leaving you to arrange the last leg on arrival.
Seasons on the east coast
The east coast has a pronounced monsoon season running roughly from November through to February, and conditions on the road and at the coast can be markedly different in those months. It does not stop the journey, but it is worth knowing when you are planning, and worth telling us if you are travelling in that window so the driver allows extra time. Outside the monsoon the run is straightforward. As with all our routes the fare is fixed per van when you book, so weather that slows the drive does not change what you pay.
