A family day out that starts before the gates open
Legoland sits in Iskandar Puteri, about fifty kilometres from central Singapore, and for most families the sensible crossing is the Second Link at Tuas rather than the Causeway — it is usually the quieter of the two and it lands you on the right side of the state. A private van means the whole family travels together with the pram, the bags, the snacks and the spare clothes in one vehicle, and it means nobody is standing at a checkpoint working out the next leg. We drop at the park or hotel entrance and can collect you at closing time the same day.
Travelling with children through a checkpoint
The one thing worth preparing for is that everyone leaves the van at both checkpoints and takes their luggage through with them before getting back in. With small children and a pram that is manageable but it is easier if you have thought about it in advance — travel light where you can, and keep passports somewhere you can reach without unpacking. Tell us the ages of the children when you book so we can advise on the van and on anything you would like fitted. If you are making a day of it, a return booking arranged up front is simpler than trying to sort transport at the end of a long day with tired kids.
