The jetty run, timed to the boat
Almost everyone we take to Mersing is going somewhere else — the jetty there and at nearby Tanjung Gemok is the departure point for Tioman and the other east-coast islands. That makes this a route where the timing is not negotiable: miss the boat and the day is gone. So we plan the pickup against your sailing time rather than the driving time, allowing for the checkpoint and the 190 kilometres, and we would rather have you at the jetty early than cutting it fine. Send us the departure time when you enquire and we will tell you when the van needs to be at your Singapore door.
Luggage for an island trip
Island luggage tends to be awkward — dive gear, boards, coolers, a week's worth of bags for a group. All of it needs to come off the van at the checkpoint with you and go back in afterwards, so travelling in a van with real capacity makes a practical difference rather than just a comfortable one. Tell us what you are carrying and we will send a vehicle that fits it. On the return leg, book the pickup against your ferry arrival rather than a guessed time, and let us know the boat, since we would rather wait for you than have you waiting at the jetty.
